I am struggling with finding the 16/16uF 450V caps for my Vox AC50 power supply. I bought an F&T 16/16uF 450V cap but it is 1& 3/8 inches in diameter, the originals are an inch. Even with a new clamp the F&T's look to be too big. I can get separate 16uF 450V caps from F&T, but I am not sure how I would mount them and they are 0.64inches (16uF 450V spragues are 0.88inches).

I have looked at Ruby, Spraque, and JJ and come up empty on a 1inch 16/16uF 450V cap, any other options? I found a CE manufacturing cap at 20/20uF 450V at 1inch diameter.

Have you tried Mouser or digikey? I'm not sure if they have those brands but I know they have a search function that wil help you find the right size.

Try http://www.tubesandmore.com

They have a 20/20uF @ 450volts at 1" diameter it is part number C-EC20-20-450

20uF should be no issue replacing a 16uF cap. Plus caps can very quite a bit in tolerance.

+1, a lot of caps are 20% tolerance anyways... which means that 16uf could range from around 13 to 19 and a 20uf could be 16-24. Shouldn't make a whole lot of difference.

Just checked and they don't have multi section electrolytic caps.

Tube amp doctor (TAD) has a 15/15uF cap that will work great, but I can't find it on Mojo. And it looks like TAD direct only sells to Europe.

I had seen the C&E one before, its -10/+50% tolerance

The F&T is -10/+30% for reference.
