Having a difficult time finding examples of low wattage tube combos with the following features. Only amps I could find is a Marshall DSL40 (which may be the way to go as I found a few locally in the $300 range) or an EVH combo. Want to stay away from the EVH since I already have the head. I don’t mind using pedals to get higher gain. Are these really the only 2 amps out there? And yes, built in midi is needed because I want it easily compatible with my main board and I don’t want to run a mini amp gizmo.

1x12 or 10
Multichannel
40w max
FX loop
Midi input to change channels

Other ways to use midi without having it built into the amp. Switch Dr by decibel 11, change amp channel and midi channel with one footswitch as well as add in 4 pedal loops, one footswitch! This seems to make the combo choices much greater! The tube master 36 and variants by hughes and kettner have combos with midi. Not a ton of combos ive seen with midi. Line6 spider valve markii had midi also..

I use a Musicomlabs switcher which has 8 midi programmable loops and can change amp channels. My goal is to use my exact pedalboard and cable snake that I currently use with my larger amp heads. I want to be able to occasionally use a low wattage combo without having to change anything.

How much gain are you looking for? Flavor of the gain?

H&K was my first thought.

I like higher gain but don’t mind adding a boost to get there. The lower wattage H&K amps don’t seem to have midi.

Mesa has all that in the triple crown 50 if that is budget ready for you.

Yeah if you're budget is $300 you're way SOL if you want midi.

How can your budget be $300, is that what your wife said, you could be homeless and work at the local choke and blow and have more money...tell her to stfu :D

aaaaahhh...... yes, the HK 36 IS midi. Don’t know how I missed that. The midi input is far right on the back panel. I really like the audio clips. Definitely on the list. Thanks!!
