I just took the pickguard off of an old beater strat I bought and found these pickups. What are they?

I'm hearing something about Abigail Ybarra? The ones they have on Ebay are going for $600+?! WTF.

So far we have established they are from the Fender custom shop, and have Abigail Ybarra's initials on them...she has been winding pickups for Fender since 1956. Other than that not much help...

Since '56?!?! Holy crap, these are dated '07 so that means she's been chained to the wall in Fender's sweatshop for 51 years when she wound these?

those are Fender 69' Custom Shop pickups. Great pickups, i have two sets on a couple strats.

Custom Shop 69's.
I've got a set on order.
You can find them new on ebay for $125.00
Much clearer than the Texas Specials, more output than the 54's.

They should be pretty good if wired "right". Fender did a lot of weird wiring with the MIM's.
These should be best with 250 K pots and .022 mfd caps with traditional Strat wiring.

Yep, CS69's ...

Great pup if late '60's strat sound is your thing.

I will take them if you don't care for them. :D

I do need to check the wiring when I get back home. There's some really awful soldering going on in there when I cracked open the pickguard.
