Hey everyone, this is my 1st post here! I'm excited to be involved in the community. I am going to order a Diezel 4x12 FL Cab to replace my Mesa Boogie Recto cab (which does NOT do my sound any favors lemme tell ya!). Here's my rig:
Diezel VH4S (w/ EL34 tubes)
PRS SC250 Whale Blue (primary axe)
Epiphone Les Paul Elitist (backup)
TC G-System
Dunlop Wah w/ Fasel
I've been doing a lot of research on this site and my dilemma is whether to order the Diezel 4x12 cab with V30's or G12K100's. My initial impression was to get the G12K100's after all the rave reviews it got from everyone, but after looking into it further, I think the V30's might be my thing to start with at least based on my style. I'm not opposed to going to a 2 V30 X 2 G12K100 split in the cab to get a sound that does everything... I just want a good place to start and since I have to choose initially, I figured I might as well ask.
My style is Rock, Mainstream Rock, Progressive Rock, Alternative Rock, Ethereal/Ambeint Rock, Alternative, and some Blues/Jazz or Metal on rare occasion. I like clarity, personality and definition with my notes and a real big sound when chords are strummed but also like when I palm-mute for the sound/notes to stay big, tight and clear. My favorite bands are: Tool, A Perfect Circle, Circa Survive, MUSE, Thrice, The Receiving End Of Sirens, Acceptance, 30 Seconds To Mars, Fair To Midland, Mad At Gravity, Secret and Whisper, Skillet, John Mayer, etc. On a side note... I really love Adam Jones' live sound.
Here is the band I used to play in and wrote all the music for (I played mostly lead but hit low end stuff all the time as well) I'm pretty sure I'm primarily coming out of the right speaker. This was back when I was rocking the Dual Rectifier... If only I had the VH4S back then!

So what do you guys think? V30's or G12K100's for me?
Also, if anyone knows of a place (or places) to order one online I'd greatly appreciate the info! I live close to Denver if you know of anywhere local by small chance.
Thanks in advance for opinions and responses!
Andrew
