The cab I ended up with had numerous jacks, all cut and worn out. So off I go to try and find new ones. The one on the far left came from Radio shack 1/4 Mono Jack. The one in the middle is brand new from Guitar Center but has additional power or ground prongs?? The one on the far right is the original socket but there's not enough meat(metal) to solder to. What's the standard now? Would like a good snug fit.

Your thoughts. Willing to go another route if need be. I ordered a Wall plate by mistake and it came with 2 sockets like the one on the far left. Am I making this harder than it needs to be?(that's what she said). Never owned this type of gear before.

I, personally would not use the barrel style ones, like you have in the middle and on the right.
These are the only jacks I've had fail. I would use the other one, if it's long enough for this application.

What was the jack mounted to? Is there a metal jack plate, or just a hole in the plywood back? Only one jack?

That Radio Shack piece is junk. Get a switchcraft or Cliff UK if you want a quailty jack that will last.

Are the 4 speakers wired in parallel? What's up with the criss-crossing wires?

I'd still use the RS jack vs the other two, I've had a barrel jack fail also. If its not long enough, get a square plate and make a jackplate out of it

3 different holes. 2 are factory with a plastic cup grommet/spacer with the kind of jack on the left. 1 hole housed the barrel jack. I noticed the wall plats I mistakenly bought has nice switchcraft switches and they fit in the plastic cups or housing just fine. Think I'm gonna run em'.

Running 2 different speakers in an Xpattern wired parallel.

Thanks for the replies.

You don't have to criss-cross the wires just because the speakers are arranged in an x pattern. If all speakers are in parallel, it doesn't matter where the wires go - all (+) are connected together, and all (-) are connected together. Now if you're running pseudo-stereo, that's a different story...

Edit: I don't mean to say that all speakers should be in parallel, just that it appears to be that way in your pic.

I would never ever use barrel jacks on power. Input signal, yeah you have to with some guitars. The contact points are much smaller and lighter on the barrel type jacks, I'm not trusting the health of my OT to a barrel jack.
Below is a diagram wiring 16 ohm speakers in a 4x12 cab to the same impedance.
If you need help I'm local, East Valley.
