Hey all,

I've recently obtained a 70's Dimarzio Dual Sound (square tab) I've popped it into the bridge of my Les Paul but am getting no response.

I have wired it as so:
White/Black taped off (Not looking to coil tap)
Bare and Green - Soldered together and grounded to pot
Red to pot lug

I've looked online and seen people mentioning the white is the hot wire (but the black and white were already taped off) others mention a yellow wire etc so I'm a bit confused.

Thanks for any info.

Best,

Josh

Update - I had it on the neck pickup whilst I tapped the bridge pickup... its wired fine.

If anyone would like me to install pickups in their guitar let me know, I'm a tech genius...?

You do know it's an alt for a super D.
Been running 2 in my 80 LP since new.
Neck all clear and crisp.
No mud.

I have an old dual sound that was once in my 1980 standard and thought it sounded awesome. I swapped it out for a 36th ann. for a more vintage sound but now I might put that old dual sound back in. It's old and just has the white, black and metal ground shielded wire. Double cream too.
