Has it been authenticated with a letter and appraised? If not they’re not getting anything - too many damn fakes and clones to fight with otherwise. Hell you could get a signature reissue.

It’s Christie’s auctions I think if I remember correctly

I believe it’s been authenticated and has proper documentation.

this was for sale a while back for i think a lot cheaper?

I feel like John Frusciante or John Mayer... maybe Mike McCready are the only players who are alive and have enough money to buy this and actually use it and are clearly influenced enough by Hendrix for it to make sense.

If a real guitarist doesn't buy it, I hope the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Hard Rock, or (ideally) the Experience Music Project buy it.

It will probably end up in some corporate exec or lawyer's "collection" though. Meh.

Jim Irsay is looking at the Gilmour Strat and the Jimi Marshall and getting ideas….

I’m sure it would come back sounding better than stock. Might take 5 years to get back though. ?

In all seriousness, Mark wouldn’t mod something iconic like that. I don’t think anyone would.
If I was rich I'd gut it and put a metal zone inside of the shell.

Different amp. The other one doesn't have much proof that it was Hendrix's, this one does (if I remember correctly). I believe there have only been 4 of Jimi's Marshalls sold publicly (2 in England and the 2 Woodstock amps). Someone on Metro forums claims there are a few in a private collection, no clue whatever happened to the other 50+ heads he owned.
