Hey guys...

Been quite awhile since I did an update because I've really had nothing to report, but here is a big one! I've finally got all the parts I need and 15 sets of completely populated boards for Bottle Rockets. I can now build one in just two days from here.

I just started building Bottle Rocket serial Number 0001 tonight (the two that exist that Jer and Chad make clips of are un-numbered prototypes that will stay with me). Serial 0001 & 0002 are already spoken for...

Here are some pics from my office and my storage facility...

Here are 28 Bottle Rocket chassis and a box with 28 Bottle Rocket footswitches. I took two of the chassis and footswitches to build! All the chassis and footswitches are white with black silkscreening. The flat black was not right for production...

Here are 13 Bottle Rocket head cases. I have 2 (1 white and 1 black) to go with my current builds. I had 10 black and 5 white built.

15 sets of finished BR main boards... They are everywhere!!!  Did 5 of the "Modern" and 10 of the "80s":

15 sets of finished Bottle Rocket footswitch and effects loop boards in this box. The effects loop board is the same tube buffered effects loop from the Cherry Bomb.

Here are pics of the Bottle Rocket's little two button footswitch that comes with the amp. These are the first pictures of these as I didn't do prototypes of them. Built like a tank just like big brother Cherry Bomb's 3 button footswitch...

Here are the head cases and chassis I started tonight for Bottle Rocket serial #s 0001 and 0002:

Just thought I'd let everyone know these are gonna roll out fast now. If anyone wants one, just let me know and I'll contact you when they are in stock. No payment of any kind is required (of course) until the amp is ready to ship.

I can't wait for this release. This has been a long time coming and I hope more than anything that it is widely successful for Steve! It is one amazing amp and Steve is as talented and integral as anyone in the industry.

On a side note...I can't wait for Reza to try it out. I think he would love this amp!!!

Shit if he invited me to try the prototype and I lived in the same region I'd be all over that. These seem like very high quality amps and have been curious about the Hennings for a while now.

Well, if you ever get to SoCal, lemme know. I'll set something up!

I think it would be cool to do an "Amp Tour." Send one to someone to play, evaluate, test, etc, for a few days or a week or so, and they send it to the next guy, who sends it to the next guy, and so on. That would be a very cool way to check out awesome new amps.

I can't imagine trying to do something like that as a business...

I had actually thought of doing that once with Luxxtone. But without it being sent back to the shop before the next new person, you'd have no control of the condition of setup. Might be a cool club to start with verified members.

TC Tubes did this with several quads of Gold Lion tubes. I tried out a quad. Sounded really good. Just because of them doing that, they get my business for future orders.

Good luck with the amp line Steve.

I did a Plank Cranker pedal passaround and it didn't go as planned. No damage to the pedal, but it took a lot longer than anticipated - some people forgot it was coming and were out of town at the time while others forgot they had it.  It was fine because I didn't use the pedal in my everyday rig, but I couldn't imagine having to do this with an amp. Doing it with a pedal people just paid the few dollars of shipping to get to the next player. Doing this with a $2k+ amp, paying $50+ for shipping to each person, while risking damage is a lot to ask for. I don't think the idea translates.

...Maybe shipping to a large amp fest if someone were to take responsibility...MAYBE...if Steve wins the lottery and doesn't care as much.

I think Jer did a very fine job with his video and there are also some good Cherry Bomb clips out there.

However feel free to ship to my house to start the DIS-assembly line

You hit it right on the head. Even if everyone that received the amp treated it with respect, UPS, FedEx or USPS sure wouldn't. And the cost of shipping would probably be more like $85-125...

Honestly, I've said it many times, such a versatile damn fire breather of an amp.
