I'm not much of a metal player so forgive me. I've been liking the tones on the new Love & Death record and decided to try working them into my style a bit more.

Here are the recording chains:
BC Rich > Herbert > Shure Beta 57 > Presonus Firestudio Project (DBX 160X as a limiter)

Fender Blacktop P Bass > Pod X3 > Presonus Firestudio Project (DBX 160X engaged + limiting)

Forgive the quick/crappily programmed drums. I can do much better but this was just a test.

Thanks! I'm thinking about getting a 2nd mic soon to get a little more oomph out of my guitar tones. The g# was pretty insane to record though. I went more centered on the cone than usual.
