Hello Peter and Terry,

My channel 1 dies when I switch to it after playing for a few hours. I already put in the midi chip and relay driver you sent me a few months ago. I don't think it's the tubes because I have gone through two whole sets for the past year and I don't even gig with the herbert. I noticed that the amp getting hot after a while (about 2 hours) has something to do with it because turning it off for a few minutes fixes the problem. it's not really in a confined space and it has adequate vent space where I use it, but still get really hot compared to my dual rec. i have always biased my amp on the low side per your suggestion on your site so it's not running really hot. even yesterday when i put in 6550 i biased it at a little less than 80ma a pair.

It's really frustrating me now because my dual rectifier and my line6 vetta is actually more reliable than the herbert, in my experience. they may not sound as good as the herbert, but they're not $4500 dollar amps that I can't use

Can something be done with this, plaese? :(

Make sure you have the LED Driver, Relay Driver and Midi Chip seated properly. Really take a good clear look with a
flashlight. It's tight in there. It could be a voltage regulator over heating, but you would probably hear all the relays clicking
at the same time or LED's freaking out.
