Hi guys

Hopefully some of you midi experts can help me. Basically I'm running a tc g sharp (not the best i know but does all i need it to) in the loop of the herbert connected via midi using the Columbus to control it. My problem lies in getting the tc to change to the patch that i set it to when the store button has been pressed twice. This happens perfectly for my first three presets but if i try to make more than 3 presets with different patches on the tc then they will fail to be recalled upon stepping on the foot-switch. I might not be making any sense whatsoever so i will try to make it simple.

For example ...

if i set up three preset like this..

channel one on the herbert/preset number one on the tc = works fine
channel two on the herbert/ preset number two on the tc = works fine and changes upon using the foot-switch
channel three on the herbert/preset number three on the tc = works fine and changes upon using the foot-switch

but if i decide to go one further and make a fourth preset then the tc will not chage to preset number 4. the herbert will do exactly what i want but the tc will more than likely stay on the same preset as it was on previously.

Any ideas?

cheers

Chris

P.s I'm running columbus into herbert via xlr, midi thru from herbert into midi in of tc, and using the switchable loop send into the input of tc and out of the tc into the parallel return.

Hm.. well midi needs to communicate by having everything in the same mode i believe. Is your herbert set to a Channel or are you in omni mode? My rocktron is set to omni as well as my herbert. Otherwise they wouldnt properly communicate.

Have you already created any preset higher than 4 on your TC? As far as I remember you first have to create a preset lets say at position 5 before the TC will switch to that preset.

That is right! I use a TC G-force and you have to store a preset on the position before you can switch to it via midi. Roggenrool
