I'm running 2 winged C 6L6's in mine along with 2 winged c el34s and 2 ruby el34b strs
What are you guys/gals setting your bias at for the pair of 6L6s? I'm running mine at 75% and my math tells me 93.7mA for the pair since the plate voltage is 480. Do KT88s really get THAT much hotter from 7mA difference or are there other reasons they run hotter? Size perhaps? And is the heat issue the only reason Diezel doesn't recommend using them? Thanks!
