All this time and I haven't even thought about using the compensated line out on the Herbie to make a very cool W/D/W rig. Duh.....

Took a line out from Herbie to my Eventide Eclipse then stereo out of there into my Mesa 50/50 and stereo out to two Mesa cabs for the wet side. Speaker out on the Herbie to my front loaded Diezel cab for the dry pipe.

Jeez, this sounds awesome. No loop levels to muck around with. Just set the Mesa levels for the FX and blast off. One of my bands out here is a Pink Floyd cover band and we are playing this weekend. This rig here has Gilmour written all over it. The Eclipse is an awesome piece of gear for FX.

Now, to get back in the Midi mode and program this stuff....

W/D/W tri-amping is where it's at. The best tones I ever got came from the same kind of set up.

Think I will take Herbie out for a romp this weekend. Haven't gigged it in a while and it needs to get aired out!

My Pink Floyd cover band is playing this weekend and this W/D/W thing is really sounding good for that purpose. Wish I had a couple of small 1x12 or 2x12 cabs for the wet side though. Not looking forward to hauling 3 cabs out. I have lots of friends, except when I am moving or when I need some roadie help!

Is the compensated out not too dark
for this purpose ?

I tried this the other day too. Didn't seem like the signal was strong enough without having to crank my power amp. Of course I was running through 5 pedals too, which could be part of the problem.

Would using something like a Suhr Iso Line Out Box sound/work better?
