Alright I waited a while to get this thing and for the price I could not refuse. I have been looking for guitar with a full maple neck but the shred of my JEM but I also wanted something even thinner. Could something fit the bill?

I have also been in an 80s type of mood and playing lately so this is absolutely perfect for that I want.

What is it?

"Is that a fEnDeR????"

Hell no. They don't shred like a JEM.

"Gotta be a Scheter. It's got the Guitar-center case. I knewd it."

Bitch, Scheters got them baseball bat necks. HELL NO!

"WTF IS IT THEN?!"

Ibanez RG770DX Reissue

This was one of my most sought after guitars for so long. I love the look of it and the fact it just yells 80s!

Most people say the original dominates it but I say no. The newer ones have a much better truss that is much more stable and the only difference between the two is the original had a one piece neck and this one has a five piece. '

This guitar plays nice a ****ing dream. I've played a lot of guitars recently and I just took my chance on this one since I heard no bad reviews on this thing. Every one who owns one loves theirs and if they are selling it they are doing it for money or just a whole new feel of guitars.

The 770DX definitely has a thinner neck than my JEM and even though it's not AANJ it still has this awesome cut away on the back. It's great for reaching the higher frets. I realize this is no Blackmachine but it's just such a great guitar for something they sell stock. Being it's a prestige also helps show the quality is higher than others.

$650 shipped and it's mint except for a hairline crack in the pocket but it is so thin and I don't even think it's deep. The shits even got the plastic film on the back.

Nothing but good things to say and I think it will look great on the wall next to my JEM.

Now all it needs is some BKP Nailbombs and I'll be oozing with happiness.

Sweet! I haven't had a Ibby in probably 10 years but I keep looking for a good deal on one. Too bad that the only thing I have to trade is a VTM60 right now. No job also equals no cash.

Hey, I've got one of those!

..except it's as old as I am, and beat to shit!

Damn. Well keep looking because these things are only going lower in price. ;)

They play fantastic.

Few more.

I wish mine looked as good as yours, but I love mine all the same. I want a red one really bad.

I looked for one for years, had trouble finding one. Copperhead here at RT found one, and I bought it from him, and then 2 months later, they re-issued it. Never been more pissed at the guitar industry in my life

^^ Thanks man!

Yeah I kinda had a feeling the reissue wasn't going to be on par with the older classic ones but this thing just rips. Plus the price on the reissue was $1200 new. Couldn't believe I found one for half that and in practically mint condition.

I've not played a re-issue, but I've heard they're great. I'd love to have a new one in Ruby Red

I need too! They're more expensive than they should be.

Cool Deal on a great guitar!!,,,since we are on the subject and not to steal thread, way back when I had a (what I thought was a )RG770DXLB, but it was no pickguard, rosewood with pearl sharkstooth, I thought the ones like this were RG760s?? I would like to find another as it was def an awesome guitar as well, I had a Super D3 and a Fread and left the single alone, sounded killer!, So what did I have??

I like the black and blue. That way you can say "If you touch this guitar without my permission, this color scheme will end up on your FACE!!"
