Salut Phil, thanks for watching !

Go for it - if you like the Soldano leads, its a very cool amp IMO.

i may have to get one of those pedals when they come out. it sounds very nice.

after watching the afterburner video three different times over the course of a week and thinking about what i was hearing tone and timbre-wise i think that pedal could turn my old yamaha g-100 210 into a very nice rig! i just have to wait until they are available. :aww: i think it will be worth the wait.

I couldn't resist . . .

any chance you can send me the schmatic for your mods? It would help my cause immensely lol

i am taking the amp to my amp guy today. I tell him what i want done, thats all great, but if he knows what do do and doesnt have to research i pay alot less lol
pretty much all of it, you did almost everything i wanted to do with the addition of the channel switch, and i am having a footswitch put on the fx loop.

channel switch: replace this standard jack with a Marshall style jack which has pins on both sides. The side, which is hot when the FS is plugged in, has wires for the footswitch - the other side (when nothing is plugged in) has two wires to a DPDT switch for the manual switch on the frontplate

depth: see SLO, 500k-1M log pot, 4n7 cap, 100nF cap (both minimum 100V DC) to get rid of the scratching noise between the 39k feedback-R and the pot. Unsolder the wire between the point labelled "NFB" and the 4 Ohm speaker out. Instead of the wire solder there the 100nF cap. Install pt: Looking at the back of the pot L,M,R (left, middle, right):
Left: other side of the 100nF which was soldered to the NFB-point, one side of the 4n7
Middle: other side of the 4n7 and a new wire to 4 Ohm speaker out

clean/crunch: locate the 1M/220pF in front of the crunch channel's gainpot. Solder a wire from there ("before" the pot) to a manual DPDT switch. The middle of the switch then needs a 39k-68k (what you prefer) to the cathode ground of V1A. This takes a lot of signal to ground, and results a much cleaner sound (like in the SLO, not exactly though).

i wound up pulling the trigger on a jca 2112 rc combo. got to use it for the first time at rehearsal last weekend. i was very happy with the results.. even though it's not broken in yet and i'm still on the learning curve with this amp. i also picked up a shockwave distortion to run in front of it. haven't spent a lot of time with this unit yet.. but so far i'm very happy with the results. i particularly like the way it mixes with fender combos. it's sort of like an "anti fender" if that makes sense.
i am having fun with this setup. it's simple and i can coax a number of different tones out of it.. which i'm very happy about. :D
at some point in the future i may ditch my troublesome dsl for a 50 or 100 watt jca of some sort. mighty fine sounding and responds to my wanking.. both dynamically and with the volume control.. very nicely.
musician's friend was blowing the combos out for 300 usd with free shipping.. so i got one. didn't want to wind up kicking myself later.

Well Done Sir!! Sounds great!!, Great playing as usual!!    I have been checking the clips on the HDM, might have to pick up one for an SLO type.

so i am doing
the depth mod,
the crunch/clean with a foot switch.
the channel switch,
bias to chassis
fx loop level,
fx loop switch
and whatever else my amp guy decides he wants to do
