Here's what Geoff Tate is up to these days

I'm really not sure how I feel about this. Its a crappy Iphone recording I assume.

When he was on That Metal Show it was weird.

Very strange dude.

Looks like he's been hitting malmsteens doughnut box pretty heavy. I have a gut too but you would see me in a shirt like that. Boy needs to hit the gym!

His voice sounds pretty horse in that video. I wouldn't say that it's shot, because at times he still has really nice tone, but he certainly sounds like he has a cold or road fatigue. With that said, he is touring with three guitar players and a keyboardist for an audience of 100 at best; there certainly can't be any money in that.

It goes without saying that song was a piece of crap.

As to the That Metal Show appearance, yeah, he was trying to save face and be enigmatic (or maybe he is that eccentric). I thought that it was strange that he wouldn't even attempt to sing like Kevin Dubrow on the Stump the Trunk segment. Someone like Sab Bach would have jumped at that and probably nailed it.

It was hard to save face when directly asked about spitting on the drummer during a show.

To me looks and sounds like he's getting it on with too much sippy sip.

Hard to recognize him without his Son of Svengoolie eyeliner.

"Queensryche" is going on tour this year, but it's pretty much Tate and a bunch of dudes who were never in QR. Not bad players, just not Wilton or DeGarmo.

Meh he still looks like he works out a bit but I agree, you don't wear a wife beater on stage unless you're ripped or skinny. I remember one gig when I was like 21 I did that and the photos made it clear I needed to hit the gym lol!

Well the new Queensryche is Kelly Gray, Robert and Rudy Sarzo, Simon Wright on drums who is solid...more solid than Blotzer.

This is off Kings and Thieves(his latest solo album)...which I happen to like more than any Queensryche album in the last decade.

He shouldn't rock the tank top though, unless he is gonna put in some P90x time.

holy crap, that's right by my house - I've played there. Didn't even know he blew through town last year but it doesn't look like I missed much.

Ummmm nope.... hopefully it was just a bad bad recording...

I previewed the album and didn't think it was much of an improvement over the last couple Queensrych albums.
If I hadn't known about the split, I would have assumed it was the latest Queensrych.

I'll wait and see what the other Queensryche band comes up with. They released some clips on youtube a couple months ago and it sounded much better to me.

He can't sing, never could, has a gut, and an even bigger ego. I don't get the cult following on RT.
