Hermit CABs (not crabs!)... any experiences with them?

Does anybody here have experience with using the "Hermit Cab" iso cabinets? I am seriously considering purchasing one. The 2x12 ATA version, in particular. I know that "new" Gn'R are all using the 4x12 versions... so what about the 2x12's?

In light of all the stories of people getting ripped of by small/indie music gear companies, I'm also interested in learning of any past experiences with the company (or the owner's other companies: BluesLand amplifiers, Kellett Guitar Collection) with regards to customer service/integrity. I did speak with Woody at length on the phone and he seems like a really nice guy, but I figure it can't hurt to do a little "background checking". These things aren't cheap!

I thought you said Hermit CRABS.....and I was going to say they stink

Hermit Cabs - I emailed them off their website several months ago and got no response. The only person I know with one is Lynn @ Blues City Music, the SLO pimp! If they are built and sound as good as they look, I would be all over one.

If you get an answer back from them, let us know (or PM me).

Thanks....

I'm pretty sure I saw a thread he made somewhere about his cab. He had a favorable opinion of it, but he had a custom oversized 2x12 made, not the standard 2x12... I'd like to keep it lighter and more compact, but then again the whole point of this thing is to sound good, so I'm thinking I should consider the oversized cab now... hmm.

btw, PM sent.

I was able to demo Guns and Roses' Hermits when I was a partner in TM. I'm actually the guy who recommended them to Blues City. The SLO connection.    I love them, but since I'm not going on any tours... I am going to try the Two-Notes LIVE instead of the iso cab deal.

I also sent me an email and got no response. Interested in getting one. Got a Silent Sister but onstage I would need additional gear for my own personal monitor; with the Hermit Cab it would be all I need onstage.

Never saw before, but my they look nice....

I have 0 iso experience, I have definitely played the many clubs that yell at you if your amp isnt on zero...So in theory this sounds great...

My only question is, are these iso cabs, extension cabs??? Or the only cab most would use live?

Im assuming the only cab, cuz this is the one you mic...BUT a different cab is going to alter your tone you have searched for so long for no?
