Is $3200 too much for a mint 2016 100 watt Wizard MCII in Texan Tolex? :D

I was just showing you that Wizards aren't that hard to come by. They always pop up. As for trying to find one outside of Rig-Talk, try Reverb buddy. They always pop up.

It just seems fitting to bump this thread. If you can bitch about it, so can I.

As for the Jackson...who cares no one wants it. Move on.

Fwiw if I could afford it I would be all over that Jackson.

So one is on Reverb...which is outside of Rig-Talk. Which is what you asked for dumb ass. "Go online, not on rig talk. And find me other wizards for sale"

Yes there is only one today. But there will be others later on. Just cause you have "THE Wizard" for sale at the moment doesn't mean I'm gonna fork out almost new prices to have it because nowhere on the Interwebs can I find one. As for his asking price on Reverb, see how fast that moves..it will be there for months...years.. just like yours.

Congrats on selling your gear. You should open up a store. Call it Rezadouche's Emporium.

Am I also dead wrong on your "BLOWOUT PRICES" ad? You are asking $2300 but you will blow this out? What's you blowout price? $2150. LMFAO. why pussyfoot around a price. Just list the price you are willing to sell it at.

What the hell is a blowout price anyway?

When you shouldn't have trusted that 2 day old Guac in the fridge. Not a price per se but oh there is a cost....there is a cost..... :aww:

Reza says "The other is brand new and he is looking for other amps that also cost $3500-$4000"

Hey your DEAD WRONG. He is asking to sell it for $3200. Still cheaper than yours. So what are you trying to prove?...Oh yeah, nothing.

When is the last time you saw a Diezel VH4 sell for $3500-$4000 used? Dead wrong again, Reza. Or a Soldano SLO for that price. DEAD WRONG AGAIN.

Looks like, Mr. Always Right is...DEAD WRONG.

When I see "BLOWOUT PRICE" I think big discount...not a couple hundred bucks. Don't say blowout price and expect a "reasonable offer"

The guitar is $2900 plus tax new. I'm offering it for $700 less and open to offers, it's mint and in perfect condition with OHSC and COA or whatever.
I think $700+tax off of retail is blowout pricing as far as I'm concerned.
Unless it's rare, unique, or hard to obtain gear, I wouldn't consider that blowout pricing.

Guitar stores typically figure they'll sell used gear at 50% of MAP. A little more if it's totally mint.

So tell me. Is the Jackson Im selling Not Rare or unique? YOU see alot of them with Stainless frets and all the other options? (open to be corrected here)
Or the Wizard MC2? Those VERY common around here or ANYWHERE on the internet??
I could definitely come down on the Telecaster I have for sale. Open to offers as they say...:)
I dunno. I didn't see your FS thread, and I don't know Jacksons (I'm a fat neck guitar guy, so I pretty much avoid all Jacksons and Ibanez fiddles). But I mentioned the caveat about rare/unique gear, so if yours is, my comment didn't apply.

Why not just mark an item at your bottom line and put FIRM.
That's worked for me on plenty of transactions. If it's a good bottom price your willing to take it will fly out the door.

yes. exactly. 1 on reverb. just one on the entirety of the internet other than here. hence my point. my price is totally open to offers. means I could sell it at 1900 if i wanted to. setting it at 2300 means you can offer me 2000, if I set it at 1700 ill get offers for 1400 all day long. and we don't want that.

This is entertaining....lol. It appears Reza answered his own problem with the above statement in accordance to the thread title. Maybe people list things at a higher price because no matter what they list it for somebody is going to offer way below that price.

So if that is the case then this whole thread is just a keyboard exercise to blow smoke and bitch about some things, get a little internet flex of the muscles workout in and all is well. Got it!

i think a lot of people list stuff higher to try and combat the low ball offers.... and i agree it sucks. mailman is right, pricing stuff at your bottom line seems to move gear the fastest, just gotta be comfortable with that number. many games going on with the gear selling/flipping. what kills me is when you sell something for a great price and then you watch that person try and re sell it a couple of weeks later for way more trying to turn a profit.... but usually just ends up sitting forever and makes me laugh.. or how about the "blowout" pricing, or i am "just selling this to pay for my emergency bills" (which may be true in some cases but clearly have lots of salesmen here).

No emergencies here.
i think everything I'm selling is priced fairly, but I leave room for improvisation.
i hear ya man, nothing too out of line. i mean nobody has to buy it, if i don't think something is priced right the worst case is I don't make an offer or anything... i think 99% of us are guilty of putting stuff up a little higher than we actually think it will go for... truth is I (hopefully) am done selling higher ticket items...i think i have the collection to a point where everything I have is a keeper for life, but we will see, haha. i got sick of taking losses every time I wanted to try an amp. i too went with the life is short outlook and got the items i really wanted and did not comprise. the latest purchase being an iguana burst LP custom....been looking for one with the right top for years.

You'll never get all of that "turned" guac off the top properly when digging for the green you want to see. By the time you feel safe you barely have a free and clear tablespoon's worth!

......Oh yeah, and on another note. Guitar's and shit are expensive. Wish I could buy some. Does an offer of a left nut count? Mint, never been cracked.

the truth is , its NOT fitting for YOU to bump this thread, because your dead wrong and it eats you up inside. All the time. :D

Who are you kidding? You've been proven wrong countless times.....you and your "blow out pricing" for instance. Gimmie a break.

The irony in this thread is comical, especially when it comes back to bite you in the ass. 25% off new for a used guitar is hardly "BLOWOUT pricing" considering most dealers will give 15-20% off without batting an eye. I don't care how mint it is, it's still used. And tax isn't a valid argument since I can order from any number of online retailers and not pay sales tax. I also live 10 minutes from a GC in tax-free Delaware. If they have something I want, even from the used section, I just have it shipped to the store.

I generally hate when people price police, but when someone starts a rant thread like this and then turns around and lists a used Wizard for $3,700 it's really hard to avoid. I watch the used market pretty closely and have never seen a Wizard listed that high (the seller on Reverb is high, literally, because he thinks his amp is special since it was made for Neal Schon). I bought an MCII not long ago for well south of $3k. And yes, it is 100-watts and also has all the bells & whistles.

Good luck with your sale Reza!

I don't think that Soloist is particularly rare or unique for a Custom Shop. I also don't think its features are incredibly in demand, at a premium, for people looking for Soloists. You can get used USA Soloists all day for $1,200 or less. You can get San Dimas-made Soloists for less than you're asking. I don't doubt for a second that it's a killer guitar, but I think the reality of the market isn't in tune with what you're asking, which is why people found this post ironic. Sure, the stainless frets aren't super common, but I've paid far less for Custom Shops with much more unique features. At the end of the day, it's a pretty boring white Soloist.

Hey you, with the overpriced items in the classifieds (no, not my overpriced items. I'm talking about you other guys).

Hmmmm - interesting OP, three or four well thought out or funny responses, and three and a half pages of nut flexing.
Nothing to see here. Just business as usual.
