Is $3200 too much for a mint 2016 100 watt Wizard MCII in Texan Tolex?

I dunno. I didn't see your FS thread, and I don't know Jacksons (I'm a fat neck guitar guy, so I pretty much avoid all Jacksons and Ibanez fiddles). But I mentioned the caveat about rare/unique gear, so if yours is, my comment didn't apply.Rezamatix":3aytg4gs said:squank":3aytg4gs said:Unless it's rare, unique, or hard to obtain gear, I wouldn't consider that blowout pricing.Rezamatix":3aytg4gs said:VC4Ever":3aytg4gs said:When I see "BLOWOUT PRICE" I think big discount...not a couple hundred bucks. Don't say blowout price and expect a "reasonable offer"![]()

The guitar is $2900 plus tax new. I'm offering it for $700 less and open to offers, it's mint and in perfect condition with OHSC and COA or whatever.
I think $700+tax off of retail is blowout pricing as far as I'm concerned.
Guitar stores typically figure they'll sell used gear at 50% of MAP. A little more if it's totally mint.
So tell me. Is the Jackson Im selling Not Rare or unique? YOU see alot of them with Stainless frets and all the other options? (open to be corrected here)
Or the Wizard MC2? Those VERY common around here or ANYWHERE on the internet??
I could definitely come down on the Telecaster I have for sale. Open to offers as they say...![]()

Yes there is only one today. But there will be others later on. Just cause you have "THE Wizard" for sale at the moment doesn't mean I'm gonna fork out almost new prices to have it because nowhere on the Interwebs can I find one. As for his asking price on Reverb, see how fast that moves..it will be there for months...years.. just like yours.
Congrats on selling your gear. You should open up a store. Call it Rezadouche's Emporium.![]()
Am I also dead wrong on your "BLOWOUT PRICES" ad? You are asking $2300 but you will blow this out? What's you blowout price? $2150. LMFAO. why pussyfoot around a price. Just list the price you are willing to sell it at.
What the hell is a blowout price anyway?
yes. exactly. 1 on reverb. just one on the entirety of the internet other than here. hence my point. my price is totally open to offers. means I could sell it at 1900 if i wanted to. setting it at 2300 means you can offer me 2000, if I set it at 1700 ill get offers for 1400 all day long. and we don't want that.

When you shouldn't have trusted that 2 day old Guac in the fridge. Not a price per se but oh there is a cost....there is a cost.....![]()
i hear ya man, nothing too out of line. i mean nobody has to buy it, if i don't think something is priced right the worst case is I don't make an offer or anything... i think 99% of us are guilty of putting stuff up a little higher than we actually think it will go for... truth is I (hopefully) am done selling higher ticket items...i think i have the collection to a point where everything I have is a keeper for life, but we will see, haha. i got sick of taking losses every time I wanted to try an amp. i too went with the life is short outlook and got the items i really wanted and did not comprise. the latest purchase being an iguana burst LP custom....been looking for one with the right top for years.Rezamatix":13go9bqa said:hatrick00":13go9bqa said:i think a lot of people list stuff higher to try and combat the low ball offers.... and i agree it sucks. mailman is right, pricing stuff at your bottom line seems to move gear the fastest, just gotta be comfortable with that number. many games going on with the gear selling/flipping. what kills me is when you sell something for a great price and then you watch that person try and re sell it a couple of weeks later for way more trying to turn a profit.... but usually just ends up sitting forever and makes me laugh.. or how about the "blowout" pricing, or i am "just selling this to pay for my emergency bills" (which may be true in some cases but clearly have lots of salesmen here).
No emergencies here.
i think everything I'm selling is priced fairly, but I leave room for improvisation.
