Looking for a quick list of High Gain amps with Midi In and Midi Thru on the back of them... I can think of 3 off the top of my head but I am not as knowledgeable about current gear as I was when I was actively playing out...

The three I can think of are Framus Cobra, Marshall JVM410H and Engl Invader... What else? Looking to explore more options before I purchase the JVM410 for myself

I will definitely have to look into the Rhodes and Brunetti... Never heard of either. Still trying to catch up on current amps.

I am looking for something "british" sounding and altho marshall is the easy choice, I want to explore all sounds and options if I can.

I've owned a Brunetti before and wasn't a fan; it was ok, if you can find one for 1K$, but you'll have real trouble selling it. My XL R-Evo had a modern type of voicing, not really british.
Instead of limiting yourself to MIDI amps, look into a RJM Amp Gizmo (or Mini), it lets you control amp functions by MIDI (taking MIDI signal and transering it to DIN output, then whatever cable input your amp takes)

I agree with the above poster though - just get an RJM Mini Amp Gizmo and you can use midi to control just about any amp.

I have a JVM410, sold a 5153 to a RT bro, had and sold a MKV, and have a Rhodes Gemini.

The Gemini was purchased for the extensive midi control. All of the micro switches for gain modes, voicing, fat, bright, loop in/out and channel selects are midi controllable. It covers the MKV territory and has a great crunch to it. It has a dedicated preamp tube for ch 1 so you can get a sweeter clean and lower pushed tone. Put your more aggressive glass in V2 V3 for the 2 high gain modes.

I will be selling the JVM410 soon. It does nothing the Gemini does not do better.

If you can swing it, the Gemini has better cleans, equal crunch, and straight up evil beat down gain. The clean channel does old Fender class cleans with the right V1. Pretty amazing to get awesome cleans and gain that does drop tuned kidney punches out of one amp.

And I'm not trying to sell you the JVM. If you can afford the Gemini, it is in a class beyond. If you can't, hard to beat the features and price of a 410.

Peace

Sorry David - I was reading the thread on my Blackberry and didn't feel up to scrolling back to figure out who had typed the earlier post!

Rivera Krucklehead Reverb (KR100) and the KR7 have midi. The Engl Steve Morse does as well.
