Holy Cow!! 12 amps and 12 cabs switcher

Looks like Delisle recently released a 12x12 amp switcher with attenuator loop for $1050. Holy crap that's a lot of amps and cabs on 1 switcher! Almost makes me wish I would have held out on buying my 8x8 deluxe. I was just trying to figure out how to arrange my amps and looking at getting another small switcher so I may decide to get this one anyway.

That is pretty insane. There are a lot of members on here that can utilize that funny enough haha! De Lisle makes awesome stuff. Love my 4x4 Pro+ I just got.
 
I've got the 8x8 Deluxe, but only have need for 7 on the amp side and three on cab side (for now). LOL

Love my DeLisle though, works great with no noise.
 
That’s cool, I have the 8x6 deluxe pro and thought that would be plenty. But it filled up fast, 6 amps, then got a Synergy and then a KSR Ceres pedal (using it as another amp) and it’s full.
 
I looked at the DeLilse 8x6 pro recently. I liked it a lot, but ultimately went with KHE ACS 8x4 and an AFX8. it’s expandable so I can add more if necessary. The one thing I don’t like about the DeLilse is that it has the dial knobs to select amps/cabs where you have to dial through a bunch of amps or cabs to go from 1 to 6 whereas the KHE is direct access and midi switchable.

You have the sickest rig my man. Never gets old looking at haha.

One thing that I will say the KHE has a leg up for sure on the De Lisle is the MIDI switching but I personally don't need it for my purposes. I can 100% see how its imperative for others though no doubt. I chose De Lisle for the adjustable line out feature since I record almost daily.

Thanks man!

Yeah the lack of a line out kept me from buying the KHE for a long while. But then I found out I can tap a line level signal from the attenuator loop using my Bray LO-1. I run that to the FX/Fryette 2/90 to the Fryette cabs for W/D/W

Ah...clever! I didn't go deep enough down the research rabbit hole apparently to run into that idea. Otherwise I might have reconsidered and went with the KHE.

Yup, i do the same thing and works flawlessly. I have a Suhr line out and feed that to my Axe3 and to my Carvin powe amp then to my wet cabs. Running the VH Balance tone through that is just insane!!!!!!

MIDI is the one thing the DeLisle units lacks. I can definitely see situations where the would be absolutely essential. For me it would be nice to have MIDI switching, but it isn't a necessity. The DelLisle hit a good balance of price vs features. If I needed the few extra features I would have gotten a KHE. They're both great so you can't go wrong either way.

Same here. I went with KHE for a 24 x 8 setup and it's honestly some of the best money I've ever spent.
 
That unit looks really cool. I also recently got a KHE 8x4 and appreciate that you can go direct from one amp to any other instantly, but up to 12 amps and 12 cabs with transformer isolated inputs, ground lift, and attenuator switch on the front for $1k is a killer deal.

I will say though... first head/cab switcher on the market that adds the option to instantly wire up stereo rigs, meaning any two amps routed to its own cab out of however many are wired up, or even something like any two amps into a dedicated a pair of separate and specialized "L/R stereo cabs" outputs, has a good chance at getting me to switch.
 
Thank you for posting this. I have been trying to figure out a way to have some flexibility with my amps and cabs in my studio. I'm going to take a close look at this. Sounds like it will might work for me.

Ampete has a bundle pack that will do 8 x8 and a 8FX unit but I worry about their support for setup . I have an Ampete 88s studio now but there's no provisions for an effects loop although now they offer a 8FX effects unit for about 800.00 that says you can use it with the 88s studio but there would bot be an attenuator loop . That would actually work as I'm not using an attenuator loop for anything ----right now LOL.

One of the best things about pairing one of the amp switchers (that has an attenuator loop) with a Fryette power station is that the power station has an fx loop built in. You can use that to share your pedal board between all the amps on the switcher without needing all the excess cables. If given the option of a power station or and fx switcher for the loop feature I'd go with the power station every time.

In your case the Ampete 88s doesn't have the attenuator loop. So the above doesn't fully apply. Unless you absolutely need the extension cab feature of the pro plus, if I were you I'd consider selling the Ampete and getting DeLisle 8x8 Deluxe and Fryette PS2 or PS100. You're looking at a 200-300 difference between that setup and the pro plus. For the extra few hundred you get so much more than an fx loop out of that setup than the 8x6 pro plus.
 
I am down to one Kahayan now but I ran two of them to handle the extra cabs.(8x4 each)
So, when I said be ready to make miles of cables I was not joking.
 
My goal is a full house 4x4 now I’m thinking I will need room to grow.

I'm sure you'right . I need to think this out as I have a PS-100 now but I only use it with my Marshall 4 holer . I could easily hook up all my amps to the switcher and use the attenuator for it's effects loop for all the amps like you suggested. I'm not sure if the effects loop works if the attentuator is in bypass. I like the KHE setup but the 4 cabs tortures me because I have and use six different ones depending on the amp I'm using . I also use 2 cabs most of the time . I kinda worry about Ampete because I get one sentence responses from them and they are in Germany . Their setup really is Ideal because I can add the 8fx to my 88studio and be setup up for 800 or so less the other 16 cables lol!!
 
On the 8x8 for example, how do you switch from 1 cab to 2 cabs for a head? You rotate the dial but you still have to change the impedance from your head right? If you set everything up for 16 ohm then run 2 cabs, you have to get behind it anyways.

I want one of these, whatever brand, but Im hesitating because it seems like I need so many cables and still need to get behind the amps.
