Unaware of Coronavirus, Nickelback Continues Tour of Playing to Empty Stadiums

Completely oblivious of the Coronavirus, Canadian rock band Nickelback has continued the United States leg of their “All the Right Reasons” world tour as the typical crowd size of seven people hasn’t dwindled since the outbreak began. Public health officials who had advised the cancellation of concerts specifically stated that they will permit Nickelback shows to go on.

“Nobody will ever see a Nickelback concert as a possible public health hazard because they don’t have any fans,” CDC Robert Redfield stated, “We’ve confirmed that it’s just the tour bus driver, and a handful of the stage crew out there in the stands cheering the band on every night. It’s always been just them. In fact, if you want to be safe from the virus, one of the best places you could go is to a Nickelback concert, but I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”

Pretty funny satire. There’s always a joke to be had in anything

For Real.....this has to be a joke.
The only joke here is a bunch of bedroom warriors ragging on a band that made it to pro level while said warriors are still living in their moms basement building part casters (that they can barely play) or spending big $$ on pro gear while not being able to play/record a nursery rhyme.

If this thread was intended to ferret out the one Nickle back fan boy on the forum ......I would say you are successful

All jokes aside, my friend lives behind Riverport Ampitheater in Maryland Heights, MO. In the summer, you can hear the concerts...some are louder than others. Of any band I have heard playing there, Nickelback was the loudest, and probably had the loudest crowd. It's not my kind of music but obviously someone likes it, because that place was shaking.

  Exactly! And 99% of them are playing nothing but covers. :jerkit:

It's funny how people react when you bash Nickelback. People take that shit personally, over something that's just satire. I get it. I like McDonald's cheeseburgers, and they've made billions of dollars selling billions of them, but it's still just a low-quality fast food burger, and I'm not going to get butthurt when someone points that out.

McNickelback, over 50 million sold ;-)

If only weekend warrior backyard bbq chefs could sell over a billion of those low quality burgers!!! ;)

Oh, so you are THAT guy.... ;)

Nickleback is legit, the songs aren't terrible either... there is just a stigma of some sort attached to them and as a Canadian myself, we constantly make fun of them. They are used to it, are millionaires, and could give a shit. So lighten up!

Is McDonald cheeseburger butthurt the same as, not as bad as, or worse than tacobell butthurt? Inquiring butts want to know. . .

Nah I think tacobell butthurt is akin to Creed-hater butthurt. Which does share DNA with Nickelback-hater butthurt.

Speaking of McDonald's Cheesburger Butthurt (MCB), you even been at a McDonald's when they run out of burgers? The MCB becomes so real it's like witnessing the apocalypse. Little old ladies being beaten by their grandchildren. Firemen beating cops. Parents crying as children scream obscenities. Truly one of the more frightening scenes I've even been privy too.

Human sacrifice, cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria!

To be honest I do still like one Nickelback song.

The moment when I couldn't stand Nickelback anymore. I was on a trip and this came on the radio when was driving from the airport and I literally was saying out loud "what the f*** is this s**t?". I liked them when they first came out and I'll admit they have some catchy songs, etc. I don't know what it is, I just can't do it anymore. It is like modern country lyrics, James Hetfield clothing, Godsmack riffs and poodle hair. Sorry, I just can't get them. There is one Canadian band that owns, and that is Rush.

Other than one or two songs, I'm not familiar with NB. From what I recall, they were one of the many who were trying to capture that Nirvana sound/song formula. Doesn't matter what you write these days... it's all going to get categorized, labeled, and filed as derivative. Think of the movie "Pleasentville" starring Tobey "Spiderman" Maguire... In the real world, all that was once colored is turning to black and white.
