A must have for Metallica fans! The pictures in there are hilarious and I haven't even started reading it yet. I've just been flipping thru the pages looking at pics and barely got thru half of it in almost an hour!! :) They did a phenomenal job with this book covering the "Master of Puppets" period. It is sad seeing the pictures of Cliff. Really cool seeing the personal stuff like the band hanging out with Kirk's family having dinner, hanging out with Yngwie backstage in Europe, etc., etc. They dug up so many cool things for this.

Anyway, it isn't a cheap book but for a Metallica fan it is something that will take forever to read thru and a great collectible!!

I got it last week. Hundreds of pictures I've never seen before.

James and Yngwie made me take a 2nd look.

Just got it too and it is awesome

Brings back so many memories from that era, damn.......

I second this. Great book, nice read, great photos and collectors item.

I thought the shot of James' Mesa with all of the settings was really cool.

I agree with all of you guys. It immediately took me back to that time period. That book shows how hard bands worked back then and how it was a brotherhood. All of the bands getting together at parties, etc. when tours were done, fans driving hundreds of miles for an autograph.

Is it just one photo? Or a few?

I guess they have snapshots of Flemming Rassmussen's notes in it too?

Just one photo that I can remember. I haven't read much yet, just looked at pics. :) It is a HUGE book!!

I have been a Metallica since 85' and there are tons of pics I've never seen like James hanging on the beach with girls, etc. Just things that amazingly have never been seen. In a lot of the pics you get to see a whole new side of the band members. To see Kirk with his family while they are cooking food, etc. is just really cool.

Awesome!!! Yeah, I'm enjoying it so much I'm going to have the whole thing read soon. :)

It is a awesome book! I've had mine for a while but haven't had the chance to read through it yet. The pictures and the whole layout of the book are killer though. Definitely something any Metallica fan needs to check out.

They need to do a book like this for another one of their albums. Just getting insight and seeing the photos is such an awesome thing. :)

You cats have talked me into ordering this book, sounds like a must have for Metallica fans.

I finished reading thru it this morning and upset I don't have more!!! :) Great book. For anyone like myself that was a teenager when MOP came out, reading thru the book takes you right back to that period.

Thanks for posting this! I had forgotten all about it.....just orderedit
