Watching Best of M3 Rock Festival 2012 on VH1 Classic and wow... Loudness kicks some serious ass!
Sure I had seen ads of them back in the day and heard lots of praise about Akira Takasaki, but this is my first time actually hearing them. Not sure that I'd ever buy their stuff, but...
That Akira has some serious tone and chops! Not sure if it's the original singer or not, but he sounded really good too even if I didn't understand what he was singing about :)

Go back and watch some of the 80's stuff. Akira played awesome back then. Not so much now.

Any "must listen" Loudness track suggestions?

btw… Watching Lynch Mob on the same festival show right now. Not sure that I like him as a frontman, but damn… Oni Logan can sing!

I listened to Loudness extensively in the 80's,
I still dig many of their tunes.
Akira was a MONSTER!!!
This tune is in Japanese but I never
let it phase me.

I listened to "Thunder in the East" and "Lightning Strikes" for years back in the 80's. In the early 90's, they hired an American singer and recorded "Soldier of Fortune". Those are the albums I'm most familiar with and recommend. As stated, Akira was a monster guitar player and was way underrated due mainly to not being as well known.

American singer was Mike Vescera of Ct band Obsession, who also did 2 albums with Yngwie as well

ABout anything off of Thunder In The East, Lightning Strikes and Soldier of Fortune. Lots of cool stuff.

get the Thunder in the East Album.

I saw them on that tour at Detroit Harpo's...they blew the roof off the place and were great live

Loudness kicks ass!!!! All you need is Disillusion, Thunder In The East, Lightning Strikes/Shadows of War, and Hurricane Eyes!!

I saw them in 1984 at the Country Club in Reseda, CA

Man, they were great!!!

Akira is great!!! He has a solo album called Tusk of the Jaquar.

Akira is a given...the singer is sounding really good!

I saw them back in the day with Stryper and TNT. They killed. I sold Akira a bunch of gtrs and we jammed some, I could't believe how short his fingers were, especially after taking lessons with Gilbert.

I saw that tour in Dayton. Great show too bad they couldn't play longer. TNT was good too.

Saw Loudness a few years ago in a small club in Detroit….Akira was loud as hell! Two DSL's cranked and a Boss GT something foot pedal.

I saw Loudness back in 85 in Detroit when they opened for The Crue on the TOP tour and they blew the Crue off the stage!!! Akira was on fire!!!

Had the Thunder in the East cassette back in '84 was my first exposure to them.

Akira was like a composite of my some of my favorite players rolled into one back then.
