Well, I've had a month to monkey around with it pretty thoroughly and...It's more than
a keeper.

Running it into a 50w 1987 reissue with the bright cap clipped and it's funny how subtle and
powerful this thing is at the same time. It has more output than my katana and at the same time the noise floor is substantially quieter at all settings.

Since the guitar has a hot bridge p/u (duncan hot rails), I keep the output around noon
and the mic output at 9:00 and it really has a sweet, violin like sustain (with the guitar
volume at 7).

I know there really isn't anything that's going to give me "ritchie in a box" but I'll be damned
that if this pedal doesn't get me about 75% there (tone, not talent...).

If ever I develop a use for these opposing thumbs and learn to use a recorder, I'll try and post
clips. This things a hoot.

I'll stop rambling now...

So it's closer to Blackmore sound than the bsm rpa? I tried that pedal and wasn't overly impressed. The badger give you that sustain?

I haven't had the chance to play the bsm rpa.

It's weird, as time has gone on, I realize that I can't seem to "get" blackmore's tone
but things like this pedal do emphasize elements of it. (i.e. the almost "fuzzy violin sustain" thing
that blackmore has to my ears).

This pedal definitely has more than enough sustain and output. I've kept the main output around 1:00 and the mic output at 9:00 as this thing really pumps the output at higher settings.

It's a constant on pedal with my marshall and I have one in a loop for my fish for the shark channel.
