I decided to give this puppy a new look and some attitude sound-wise(which was great to begin with BTW).I routed the bridge position to fit the humbucker which is a Suhr Aldrich and put in some Fralin Blues Specials in the middle and neck positions, added a 500k pot for the volume, put an orange drop on the tone pot and topped it off with a nice tortoise shell guard.Oh and I added a Callaham trem block as well. All I can say is this guitar is a monster now!!! It has great sustain and harmonics and the notes just punch you in the gut.Killer, killer tone for sure.I didn't put it down all night at rehearsal on Thursday.I didn't even touch my Charvel which I love too.Check it out

Very cool  I dug the couple of them I tried. If they were routed for a hum already, I'd probably have one.

Very cool man, I love fat strats for their versatility. The Suhr aldrich pickup splits really well in my Les Pauls, I would suggest adding a push pull pot to coil split it.

For the middle pickup did you go with Reverse round/reverse polarity from the neck? I am looking into replacing the 2 single coils on my MIA fat strat and not sure what to do with the middle pickup and how it will play with the humbucker....

Looks nice. I really like those road worn strats. Every one I have picked up has had great playability. You may have just pushed me over the edge for one.

I did use a reverse wound pickup in the middle but I really don't use the number 2 position on the switch so it wasn't for any particular reason.I can tell you these Blues Specials sound awesome with the 500k volume.I thought they were a touch dark with the 250k.I left the 250k pots on the tone controls though.I just love this guitar now and it jumped up to my number one spot.I played it with my original metal band last night and it just ripped!
