Hot rodding a 6505+ combo....

So it looks like I can get a mental cheap deal on a new 6505+ 112 combo. This would fit the bill as I need a small(ish) combo for gigging since I sold my Randall half stack ( too big to lug around London ). The deal would mean I have some extra cash to do a few simple upgrades, like speakers and tubes. Now I have a load of 12ax7's ( EH and Harma cryo's ) but would be open to suggestions on power amp tubes and speaker. I was thinking a K100 for the speaker upgrade as the amp is inherently middy? Also can these amps be biased without doing the bias mod?

I wouldnt change anything..try a boost in front of it..maybe a eq in the loop..its a great little amp as is..great for smaller gigs.

If you can mess it up by swapping the speaker, it's probably better getting something else

K100 would be a great speaker choice. Personally, I like rubys in my 5150s. Doesnt need a boost. Doesnt need any mods.

I actually just ordered some rubys for my Deliverance to try to darken it up a bit

The ole reliable Eminence Legend v12 is another speaker that straight up kills with the 5150s, and last I checked it was almost half the price of a typical Celestion
