Hey,
Here is what I wanna do:
- Record a high quality low-noise no-distortion DI at the same time as...
- Routing my guitar into my valve amp
- Attenuating said valve amp
- Optionally having a speaker load for the amp, which allows me to get a line-out so that I can record the amp signal and apply impulses also
- Later on reamp the DI through the amp with no ground hum or additional noise being added
I've looked into the Two Notes Reload. But it doesn't easily allow you to route the DI to a recording interface, whilst also routing it to the amp. Apparently you have to route back from the computer to the Reload in order to do it, and that is not acceptable to me because of latency and the extra AD/DA conversion.
I'd like to know a money-is-no-object solution, as well as a couple of other options that are less expensive too.
Basically my situation is this - I've got an Axe FX II. But I've been comparing my VHT Sig X and Diezel D-Moll to it over the past couple of days, and shit me if the real amps don't just piss all over the modelling of the Axe FX. I don't know what it is, but I'm really considering shifting the Axe FX II and getting something to do the job above. Then I could reinvest the extra cash in another amp, cab, microphone or effects solution. But basically I prefer my amps, and see a bunch of cash tied up in the Axe FX II which I could probably put to better use.
Cheers!
