Right now in my rack is a rackmounted Mark IV, but the Mark IV makes the rack so damn heavy. How different is the Tri-Axis compared to the Mark IV if ran through a VHT 2/50/2

If you try one out let us know what you think and which camp you are in....

I've personally never heard a Triaxis nail any of the Mark series tones. I've heard them get close but never dead on.

I can tell you from experiance that they cannot nail any of the Mark series tones exactty but you can get a scary close vibe with the addition of an external EQ and a Mesa poweramp. The Triaxis is a hell of a lot more compressed then any Mark series amp that I have played and the Marks series are already compressed lol! With that said, I can highly recommend what guitarslinger said and either get yourself an outboard EQ or an effects processor that has one EQ built in (I know a lot of guys who re-EQ their presets within there effects)
I personally think that the Quad is better suited for the Mark series tone but that's just me and the poweramp used will definitely make a difference![]()

Maybe it's best to just leave the Mark IV in the rack , I can't imagine anything being more compressed than a Mark series amp![]()

If I could afford one, I would have purchased Dave's already. Its not that I don't want to enjoy the madness...
