How Do You Wash a Guitar Strap?

I got an old Levi's Strap that has soaked up some sweat over the years. The white is now yellow and nasty. How should I wash the strap without messing up the leather ends?

Can't say i've ever washed a guitar strap, usually just replace them.

Might just soak it in a bucket of something like OxiClean with the leather ends left out of the bucket.

It's polyester.

For polyester, you can use vinegar and a mild soap & water. I’d start on the inside in a non visible place first and tape off the leather ends.
