Amp ho
Anyone? Curious if it can do the modern high gain thing-- not metal necessarily but fat tasty saturated high gain. Too many YouTube vids of solo tones. Need something new for around the house.

Hi m8!

Well it´s such a hard question to answer since everything is subjective. But when you run it in 80s mode and modern voicing it sure can get really saturated. Not that Mesa Rectifier saturated, but sure is kinda modern, and can get really fat.
Having that said I have not felt the need to use an OD-pedal on channel 2-3. But then again, I do not play that type of music.

It´s just a super versatile amp. I use it for a cover band where we play classic rock. AC/DC Van Halen Thin Lizzy etc. I also use it as my main amp in our bluesband.

I just love it, have been looking at other amps but nothing I have tried comes close to this. But as I said, so hard to answer, buy it from a place where you can return it if you dont like the sound.

Yea I may just do that and maybe try a boost to push it over the edge. If it doesn't work out I'll try the mark v 25. Thanks for the feedback man.

No problem, with a boost you can push it to do pretty much anything. But if you really want that modern OD then I think the v 25 is a better choice, however if you like that classic rock and a bit of Dumble, spongy articulate distortion then the Atma is a better choice (i think). Hope that gives you a hint :)
