I left mine on the job site last week tuesday. It's nearby and I didn't even bother to retrieve it since I would be back on thursday My boss brought it back to me though, assuming I needed it. I didn't.

Dunno... I don't own one... I do have a mobile phone though. My cells communicate using autocrine signaling, paracrine signaling, endocrine signaling, and direct signaling across gap junctions. The don't need no steeenking phone.

I can't stand smartphones and don't see how people enjoy being attached to them like zombies as they do. I save all of my internet browsing for my computer and if it wasn't for work, would have a phone that simply did calls and texts. Hell, I looked it up just now and see these are referred to as dumb phones...well fuck me runnin'

I just prefer to think of them as hand held computers - that's more accurate really. I don't see any great difference between a phone these days and a computer aside from the type of operating system and even that's blurred. Also I use my computer to make a phone call sometimes whether it's via IP or 4/5g etc...
As for being glued to them it's a matter of self discipline but a lot of people don't have that.

I'm over it. I don't selfie or constantly take pics but I'm over thinking anything about other ppl doing it. It's here to stay...the new reality.
I have an iphone that is a piece of shit and only holds charge for a day anyways. I never know what to look at on it if I'm waiting around when everyone else is glued on theirs. The internet is boring af.

Unfortunately PayPal, Google, TPG (my provider) et al are pushing me to get one for SMS verification. I cannot currently sign in even to my provider without one. Google will also remove my account if I don't do it soon.
What a Helluva waste, having to buy a 'phone for one reason only - to SMS-verify my identity, even to my provider who I've been with and paying monthly for 19 years.
Ridiculous.
