So I have a bunch of cabs; 8 total. 6 of those are 4x12's. That's freaking insane. Here is the lineup:

Marshall 1960A (V30's and G12T75's)
Marshall 1960B (G12h30's and Weber Thames)
Marshall 1960TV (V30's)
Mesa Stiletto 4x12 (V30's)
Mesa Rectifier 4x12 (V30's)
Soldano 4x12 (X1200's)

Other cabs:
Mesa Rectifier 2x12 (V30's)
Port City 1x12 (Eminence Swamp Thang)

I don't need so many 4x12's. What would you keep and what would you get rid of if you could only keep 3 4x12's? I'm keeping the 2x12 and 1x12.

Keep the following

Mesa Stiletto

Mesa Recto

Marshall 1960B

There is no such thing as too many until your building wont accommodate any more

+1 Just what I was thinking, I mean you can stack them. :) :)

I have 45 4x12's...at last count. There's still room to shuffle them around to make aisles to get to the amp head's volume controls.

Uh...that's ok, right? ;)

Dude, 45? that's just pure excess. I can take one off your hands

I'm thinking of getting another 4x12 probably a Bogner 4x12 again.

Sweet! I can tell my wife about you when she complains about my cabs (around 12 or so). :D

To the OP - nice thing about having extra cabs is that you can leave them where you practice, or if you're lucky leave one with the PA Trailer if you gig a lot, etc.

If you don't need the money, might as well keep them.

You won't get jack squat for them.

Seems you're pretty heavy with V30's, that's the only thing i'd change about your cabs.

You've got a nice collection. The A and B are mixed, allways wanted a TV, Soldano and the Mesa cabs all cool.

FYI, i've got about dozen 4x12's.

as long as you have power for them, 200 is the actual limit. Fact.

Any more than 200 4x12 cabs would be excessive. You don't want to be thatguy. IMO.

j/k however many you want. IMO

damn i have 2 4x12 cabs and i feel like im pushing it. You guys are insane...hahah

My answer for all these questions are "as long as you can afford it-everything is a'okay."

With that said-I try and keep things to a level that I can justify everything. If I were in your situation I would try and get my collection down to 3 cabs and have as little overlap as possible.

45!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow! Well, I am about to move in a month or so, so I could use the extra cash flow.

So what OHM do you run the 45?

Are you kidding? I run it at -13.333 scumohms. Surely you've heard of it? ;)

The most I had going at once was 8. Yes, eight (8).

Two 100w heads with four cabs each with a jumper cable between heads...and a wireless so I can walk a few blocks and still hear it. :D
