So I have a line 6 pod HD500X and I have a Line 6 Spider 3 75 Watt amp. How do I connect my amp to the pod to use the Pods sounds and effects through the amp when playing guitar? Where exactly do I plug the amp cords in etc?!

Please no rude comments.

There are a couple ways. You can run right into the front of the combo or if it has an effects loop you can plug into the return.

Step 1: Get in your car
Step 2: Buy a new amp
Step 3: Put it in the loop

But seriously, my Spider 75 watt doesn't have a loop so I don't think yours does either... Plug your guitar into the input part of the POD then run a cable from the output of the POD into the Input of the Spider

Oh ok thanks.....So what kind of what i need to use & Connect with my HD500X? Cuz your right.....all i have on my 75 watt amp is a Guitar in port and a headphones port. So your right i dont think im gonna be able to use my current amp with it :(

No you can, you have to plug it into the preamp instead of the FX loop cause there isn't one

So you take a 1/4" patch guitar cable and run that from your guitar into the "Guitar In" input on the POD
Buy a 2nd guitar cable and run that out of one of the "Unbalanced Output" ports to the input of your amp... I'm not sure if, since you're running it mono, plugging it into the left or right channel makes any noticeable difference but might as well try it, I mean yolo amirite?

Everything else on the board is for really specific technical things you don't need to worry about right now, you just ignore all the midi/FX loop/mic/etc ports and focus on plugging your guitar into guitar in and plug your pedal from the output into your amp's input

Ok so use the 2nd guitar cord and plug that into the headphone/pedal port on my amp into the Pedal port on my pod or one of the left and right monos?

Close but kinda backwards... Here's a picture

The guitar signal chain "law" is everything starts with the guitar and ends with the amp. Everything you add goes between the guitar and the amp (Except for FX loops)

Plug the cord going from the pedal into the guitar port, not the headphone port

And yes, I am a professional artist who specializes in lifelike recreations of famous instruments and amplifiers... Thanks for noticing

I'm not all that familiar with them, just am aware of their talented guitar player and hot ass singer but I'm assuming go to the insane channel, gain all the way up... Scooped mids maybe (Somebody back me up on that one) and as for effects, I'm sure wah is used on some solos but can't really help ya out...
But if you ever need to get that Def Leppard tone I'd get ya right there lol

If you scroll up and down on your amp the little screen will start showing years, find the 00's (Arch Enemy are from the 2000's I believe) and look for the name of a song by them or something similar... I know 80's one has like Still of the Night sorta sounds pre programmed so they may have one of their sounds pre set
