Me too. I guess the fact that he doesn't sweep pick and play through a 100 watt head offends some insecure guitarists.

In "It Might Get Loud" I found him the most interesting and fun to watch...and I wasn't previously a fan or owned any of his albums, but I am a Zep and U2 fan...go figure. Make fun all you want, but he is talented and knows what he is doing.

Not sure if that's directed at me, but anyone who knows me also knows I don't care about that stuff. I listened to some of his solos last night and his tone made me want to jam forks in my ears. Never said the guy was incompetent, just implied the dude's tone was offensive to me.

Loved the sound he got out of the fuzzface and little cardboard amp during the part where he was showing his kid how to make noise! "Under Great White Northern Lights" was pretty badass.

This. It certainly works for the stuff he does, and that's really all that matters.

Its funny bro, before I saw that movie, I found JW mildly annoying. After watching the movie, I coulsdnt stand him and found him to be the weakest part of the movie. He brought nothing to the table and quite frankly, I dont think that he belonged in the same zip code let alone movie as Page and The Edge. I still wonder why he was chosen to be in it..

Different strokes and all that..

Beck? Knopfler? EVH? Townsend? Keef?

The list goes on of others that could have been there aside of Black. That was a wtf to me on why he was in it.

Even if he did I'd still think he sucks.

To answer the "what fuzz" question, probably a bunch of different ones but for sure an Octavia or some octave fuzz for that really nasty fuzz tone.

I hated him with a passion when 7 nation army came out. Still hate that song and riff, but I've grown to like him at least a little. He's somewhat innovative in an age when nobody really can be anymore. Although most of his stuff has been done, there are a couple of moments that are refreshing, preferably when he's not singing, lol.

That's quite an assumption just because he posted a funny picture.

What fuzz pedal is he using?

I know he used a Z vex Fuzz Factory, Woolly Mammoth, Big Muff & several others.

For me it was pretty obvious why these three were in that movie .... They each have made a ton of money playing guitar. Very few guitar players have made the amount of cash they have made.

I have supported Jack White since he turned down Slash to play or sing on one of his albums. Probably one of the few left in rock n roll that isn't a Sell out. Can the same be said for EVH,Kiss,Stones, or anyone else that hasn't wrote a good song in decades. Just touring the same old crap.

It might get loud should have been.
