How to make a pedalboard breakout panel

I have all the parts to do this now, and I rescued my pedalboard from prractice. I'm going to attempt to do this today. I will chronicle my attempt in a new thread apon completion.

Very nice....curious about the chorus wiring. Shouldn't that (normally) be in the loop with the delays/verb/trem?

Do rivets need to be used though? I don't suppose screws could hold it in place (nut and bolt might look a little cheap)

4-40 phillips flat head screw and a 4-40 keps nut will work. Not sure the length I used on mine. 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 long maybe.

Screws sit nice and flush and look good. And if the jack ever goes bad, it's easily replaced.

I've got a PT3 Hard case on order so I'll be doing this but I'll have to fabricate in some type of flat metal panel to mount the jacks to as it is open on that frame. Not a big deal.

I screwed mine up. I tried to put the jacks in the middle of the face, but I was getting frustrated when things turned into a Lord of the Rings movie. Every bit I used to drill was walking north on me. Then I figured out that there is a cross support running down the middle of the face inside. I ended up with four useless holes. I covered them with tape and started over.

By golly, when I double checked myself and did it right, it came out okay. I measured out where the jacks would go, and drew them in with pencil. Make the boxes and then put an X in the middle. Start with a really small drill and drill a hole on your X. Then get a bigger bit and repeat on and on until you get up to a 3/4 in. A 7/8 in. drill bit would have been perfect, if I had one. Instead, I routed out the hole for the wings and the push release tabs with a dremel. When they went in, I drew the spots for the holes and drillrd them out for screws. I just used sheet metal screws to hold them in. Then I wired it up and voilá.

I've always wanted to make a nice clean pedalboard like that but I can't find midi connectors of this shape.

Then I wired it up and viola.
Be careful when using French words, you've just said you raped your pedalboard   Or maybe you did, who knows ? :D

Great post. Saved the links so I can order the later. Might make a one space panel for the back of my rack also. Thanks
