How to play La Grange by ZZ Top - the right way!

I've seen a lot of people play this, but it almost always sounds kinda "off". The secret to making it sound good is hybrid picking. Billy Gibbons is such a great guitar player. What he lacks in "flash" he more than makes up for in feel and always being 100% "in the pocket". As well as writing incredibly catchy riffs!
