Here's my lesson on the "Separate Ways" guitar solo. A lot like the "Anyway You Want It" solo, I've always been interested in it. Like a lot of Neil Schon's stuff it starts out with an absolutely beautiful melodic theme, but then ends up in one of his insane triplet speed licks! Hopefully this will help anyone who is wanting to learn the solo.

badass as usual.....you have become my favorite online song guy.
Great quality video/audio, you explain enough of the physical and theory mechanics of what's going on, you take your time showing the licks, I have no complaints!

Hey Bartzzz, the tone you get from the Renegade is very nice! Really love your playing!

Separate Ways also has one of the best cheese music video's of all time!

Yeah, I never really got that video...I mean here you have one of the biggest bands in the world at the time, playing a super intense, emotionally charged song, and then they make almost like a parody video on a dock somewhere that probably took a day to shoot and cost them 500 bucks. 300 of that probably went to the "kind of OK looking" model. Hahaha, go figure.

Just found this:

I never knew the girl was "Sherrie". Crazy.
