Hello all,

Right now I have a rack rig with just a G Major in it. I want to run my VHT Valvulator in front of the G major 2 but still inside the FX Loop but still being able to plug guitar into the VHT.

Current signal path:

Guitar >> Head Input

VHT Valvulator output A >> G Major 2 Input Mono>> G Major Output mono >> FX Return >> FX Send >> VHT Input.

I feel i am not getting the full potential from the VHT. Am I missing something here?!

Thanks

The VHT is supposed to be in front of the amp, not the FX loop.

What amplifier?

The g major should buffer the loop fir even if its passive. Valuator goes in front as stated.

Im running a Modded Peavey 5150 II.

I was told the that the peavey has an Hi-z fx loop and would be wise to use some sort of buffer in the FX loop between the send of my Amp and the input of the G major to reduce any sort of distorted sounds in the signal coming from the G Major.

Should be fine without it.

5150 Puts out:

Effects Send:
Load Impedance: 47K ohms or greater
Nominal Output: -10 dBV, 300 mV RMS
Effects Return:
Impedance: Very High-Z, 470K ohms
Designed Level: -10 dBV, 300 mV RMS
Preamp Output:
Load Impedance: 47K ohms or greater
Nominal Output: +10 dBV, 3 V RMS
System Hum & Noise @ Nominal Level:
(Clean channel):
(20 Hz to 20 kHz unweighted)
Greater than 74 dB below rated power
