What a great mix and group of players
I can’t believe the mix . It’s so fucking tight!one of the greats for sure
depending on which faith direction they'd be leaning, it could've been Jew-y Levitz and He-brews.After their 1980’s heyday, they really missed out on the lucrative faith based music market by not rebranding themselves Huey Leviticus and the Good News
Yeah, +1If you ever want to truly appreciate how far modern poop music has moved into dumbed down, go listen to 80s pop. The musicianship was off the charts. Song writing was top notch. Even if you didn't like a song, you couldn't say it was because of poor musicianship.
It was only a matter of timeTheir early work was a little too “new wave” for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a BIG boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
They sound amazingDid @Techdeth put on a rain poncho and line the floor with newspaper?
They're okay.
