So i bought an EBTech Hum eliminator a while back for my G system rig. Ive since sold off most of the pieces of that rig but i still have the ebtech and am wanting to incorporate it into my current rig as its just sitting there and i think it could possibly come in handy. Im using a GCX to bring pedals in and out of the signal chain going into the front of the amp and then i have a TC gmajor 2 in the loop and a Decimator pro rack G with channel 1 being used after all my pedals and right before the amps input and then channel 2 in the fx loop chain before the TC. Was wondering what you guys think the best place the put the Ebtech is. Was planning on using 2 of its channels one in each signal chain since im doing 4CM but i didnt know where in each signal path i would get the best results. What say you guys out there and is anyone else using one in a similar way?

Which model do you have? The HE-8, or one of the others? A diagram would be helpful, and a list of the pedals/loops you're intending to use.

Cheers,

I dont own one but my first thought is to try it right after the preamp (4CM). So, first FX from amp loop send. Thats where I have my decimator. Eliminates the hum/hiss from robo-gain settings!

Cheers,

Its the 8 channel rack mount version. Here's my signal chain:

G-90 wireless>>front input of GCX>>rear out of GCX>>(via pedalsnake to pedalboard) BOSS TU-3>>G-Lab wowee wah>>Back to GCX loops 1-4 (pedals in the loops are Barber tone press, script phase 90, OCD v.2, AF2 fanger)>>Decimator channel 1 input>>Decimator channel 1 out>>input Mesa Mark V.

Mark V fx loop send>>decimator channel 2 in>>decimator channel 2 out>>TC Gmajor2 input>>TC out>>Ernieball vp jr volume pedal.

Pretty basic setup and just figured i could throw the hum eliminator in there just for good measure to insure the rig is as quiet as possible since i play with a lot of gain and theres a lot going on in the rack be it the signal path or the AC powering it all.

Here's a bump from 2023 ....

I use mine between all the units in my racks ....100% balanced signal and 100% quiet .

And I live less than a quarter mile from a Police Substation and right by an airport .
