I was looking for a collector grade acoustic guitar in the five to $7000 range when I stumbled upon this 1997 Taylor custom grand auditorium that was custom-made for a guy named TJ Baden who was the CEO of Taylor at the time.
TJ went on to start his own company, which made really nice “Baden Guitars” but they never caught on. In my opinion, they were the ugliest guitars you could ever designed.
This guitar had a small hole in the side that needed repairing so I offered what I thought was fair, $2000 with shipping.
It sounds phenomenal, really clear and loud. My luthier is doing some work to it and he said I got a phenomenal deal.
