Fender Yngwie

I love the feel of the scalloped neck and BIG frets on the yngwie, and love the profile of the neck.

I dont like the HS3 in the bridge, however I havent tried it with my gear so that could be subject to change. I am also very used to humbuckers in the bridge so it just take some adjustments.

I also like to use the trem, not for like big dives ( well not live anyway) but love I do the odd flutter on solos.

Charvel

I like the neck, but I didnt love it from the first play I had to get used to it.

I love the look of the guitar.

It does have a floyd, and I have never kept a guitar with a floyd longer than two string changes.

Which one would you pick?

I mainly play, Van Halen and iron maiden tunes and it would be my main live guitar for my band:

A big difference is going to be the saddle height off the top of the body. Strat bridge sits a lot lower than the Floyd, that can effect how you play.
My preference would be the Charvel. I love Floyds and hate the location of the Strat vol pot.

Ive built two Musikrafts, and one sounds amazing and the other is really boring sounding.

So I really wanted to play before I buy this time.

I can also get the yngwie routed in the bridge if it came down to it :D

I happen to love everything about the YJM strat, the feel the tone etc. Im in the process of building 2 from parts. I have 2 Dimarzio YJM complete assemblies, 2 fender bodies(one routed for a floyd and one routed for a traditional) and Im probably going to go with Warmoth necks.

For me it makes sense because Ive got the humbucking floyd thing covered and I need/want strats to balance everything out.

Of course you can swap out the Bridge of the YJM, I happen to love it but if you dig everything else about it, I think that it makes sense to go with that guitar because its obviously different than everything else that you already own...

From reading your post, It sounds like you would be happier with the YJM.

i have a charvel modal 1 with a scalloped maple board and a strat style bridge, single hum, white

The Model 1 Charvel was their entry axe, or bottom of the line. It was forever and a day ago since I played one, but I remembered it was ok, but nothing close to say a model 6 or others they had back then.

That would be way too hot for me.I use their VHII in my other two guitars, but thank you for the suggestion.

I have stumbled upon one of the models with the small headstock that has already been routed in the bridge,so I might get that one rather than the more classic model.
