I realize that this is a little touchy for some, but i think it turned out pretty good. there already was some damage to it, so i decide to try and relic it. I wouldn't have done it to a mint guitar, but ya know what, i dig itand thats what matters to me.

i am however open to criticism.

looks like you just let a kid take a slingshot to it

If you like it, that's all that matters, if you really are going for the vintage look, I would probably go for the 3 barrel bridge though

LOL Looks like you hacked it with a screwdriver.

Rock 'n roll, bro!

It will be getting one soon.

I personally love it. I have too many tobacco sunburst guitars, and it got knocked over and got a few dings, so I said fuckit and went on with my relic.

It wasn't a screw driver, it was a pliers. Lol

OK, you said you were open... :D

I've never understood fake relic'ing (I guess that's redundant?) and paying extra for it blows my mind. So that said, I think the body doesn't look 'played'; just beat up. And the fretboard looks pretty unplayed. I would think (and wtf would I know considering above) a good relic job would make the guitar look more played.

But as said already, it's your guitar, rock that thing however the fuck you want brother.

I am researching the best way to age the fretboard. That will come soon.

There will be a little sanding done on the body to show age. I am carefully and strategically going to do this.

At this point I am going to look at some Fender CS heavy relics and some Nash guitars to plan that.

It will look more used and less beat to fuck when I am done.

The criticism is great, thanks for your thoughts. Cheers.

Relicing on poly finish usually don't work too well. For the amount of dents you'd need some wear/fade/cracks to go with it but poly don't really do these since it's too durable. My 30-year-old tele has a lot of dents from actual usage but it looks pretty "new" from a few meters away.

I dig it! Well done! Going to keep getting beaten up now, and get even cooler.
