Hi everybody.

After some months I got finally my Marsha Amp. It is a 50W head with EL34 Tubes.

I ordered with all the options and mod. It has Be and HBE inputs, C45, SAT and FAT modes and FX Loop switchable.

The sound is amazing. I love it in all positions but i prefer to use it with C45 and FAT options ON. I use the gain on the half and on Both BE and HBE it is perfect sound. I tried at home wit a 4x12" Cabinet loaded wit 2 Celestion V30 and 2 Celestion G12H. I can't play too loud at home so I am missing the power of the amp.

THis evening I will try it with my band on normal Volume (4 or 5   ) wit a 4x12" Cabinet loaded with 4 Celestion G12M-25 Greenbacks. I will tell you my impressions.

I leave you some pictures of the amp.

I have several amps and I keep them.

The list is the following.

1.- JCM 900 SLX 100 W modified to EL34 with Deep and Feedback control.

2.- JCM 2550 Jubilee 50W (The Black model)

3.- 1959 Metroamp Kit modified wit 2 Master Volume and 2 channels. First Channel is JCM800, second is SIR#39 mod with extra preamp tube. Both Channels and Master Volumes are switchable so I have 4 differente modes. It has deep control on the power amp with pot. Loop included.

4.- Marsha 50 W (This is the new one)

I have a couple of amps more coming. One is a Reissue JCM 800 and I want to make the mode of the SIR#34 by switch and deep control. The other one is a 1987X 50 head which will be totally modified in order to have 2 inputs, one low and one High.

The Low is nearly clean and the high is distorted. Gain and Volumen controls are shared. It has 2 leves of gain by sitch and it has a preamp mod. One is for giving more clearity to the sound adding some gain and the other adds Fatness....

These mods are done by my friend "Chameleon" from Bigtone Custom amplification.

I expect to have one more amp that is the AFD Slash when it comes.

Yes, I ordered the logo in the Center. I prefer in this way

I never knew Dave uses Metroamp kits, makes sense though!

Well it seems he is using Metro parts. I think Metro parts are the best in the world. Te quality is superb, much better than any material used in any amp brand, about transformers, capacitors, resistors, everything...

Then Dave gives to the amp that special touch on his mods and of course the amp is not only assembling... You have to adjust and tune it to sound fine

Exactly 3 months for me so far...still waiting. I know it will be worth it!

It is worth waiting.

I have been playing today with my band and the sound has been amazing. I tried with my Les Pauls R6 with P90 and with my R9 with Alnico II Pro Humbuckers and it is fantastic.

Mine was ordered the first week of March and arrived last week.4,5 months of waiting

Anyone compared these with a Fortin Cali mod? I got one a couple weeks ago .... took me a while to find my tones, but it's killin now. Those Pete Thorn clips just sound so badass though ...

Just to set it straight I use a Metro chassis and headbox and panels. The transformers are custom and so are all the parts inside the amp. It is not just a stock kit at all. They are my OEM supplier.

Yes Dave, I opened the amp and I saw that the components are different to Metro. Your capacitors are different and there are many things totally different.....

Of course the quality and sound are perfect

I have seen you have hidden the part of thye circuit of SAT mod :D but I can imagine waht it is.....

I insist, yesterday I thought I was dreaming when I was playing my Les Pauls through the Marsha. The volume is Loud but I like it
