Help! Lol
I bought my VH4S 2 years ago used and haven't had any problems... until now.
Long story short, I brought in my amp to a local guy who's very good with electronics and he tested out my preamp and poweramp tubes (I wanted to see if it was time to buy new ones) and he also tested how much power each Master output was putting out. I can't remember specifically but he told me that my Master A was putting out something like 25 a channel and the Master B was only putting out something like 15 watts a channel. Don't quote me on that, he talked very fast.
Anyway it got me wondering why Master B was putting out so much less power, then I thought I have been running the amp MONO from Master A 1x8 OHM to a 8 OHM input on my cab with the Master B volume ALL the way DOWN. Now, I heard you still need to have resistance so I am wondering if I f*cked up big time here and my Master B channel is fried. I was going to try to run it STEREO into my one cab but now I'm not sure it will work because the channel is putting out much less power. I am kind of freaking out I screwed my VH4S up big time!
Is it possible I fried my Master B? What can I do to fix it? Help!
Also, which inputs do I use if I'm going to run it STEREO into a 16 OHM input? Just the Master A and Master B 16 OHM on the VH4S to the 16 OHM inputs on the cab?
Thanks so much!
