It never ceases to amaze me how well thought out and how very far ahead of its time Herbert is, and always will be. To this very day I am still evolving and I am simply enamored with the shear brilliance and subtle mastery of everything that is encapsulated within Herbert. There really is no end to Herbert’s essence, dexterity and Herbert’s vastness of complete musical human control. Herbert reminds me of the basic fundamentals of accretion to guitar amplification.

Peter has created an elementary musical instrument work of brilliance. Almost as if Peter had journeyed out with Herbert to develop the guitar amplifier theory of everything. Peter has unified with Herbert the fundamental general relativity of the large physical layer of guitar amplification with the quantum applications to the elemental electronic structure of the atomically small. Simply said of Herbert –Starling Perfection.

On a side note: It also never ceases to amaze me how some folks go through gear like it’s just an after thought – out of sight, out of mind. I’m now going on 5+ years with my beloved Herbert, and it’s not going anywhere until I’m under ground, permanently.

Many years ago I started with Peavey, Fender, Boogie, and Marshall et cetera - all the standard off the shelf gear. Then when Chris Snider introduced me to Diezel I never looked back, but that was after several years of wandering. I remember when I wanted my first PRS I called up yours truly Ed Roman – got to love the guy. After a brief conversation with Ed he said "I’m not going to sell you a PRS, get it elsewhere because you are not ready for a PRS." I knew what he meant.

I peer and browse through the RT classifieds occasional (mostly for entertainment) and see these folks selling new amps they haven’t had for more than a few weeks, or, they have had the amp in their bedroom studio for a short time, the amp looks spotless and they want to dump it for another amp that more than likely will be on the chopping block shortly. What a shame, out of sight, out of mind.

Folks, respect your amp gear and respect the one who spent countless hours perfecting it.

SDPD.

I love herbert, for years the uberschall was my favorite amp but that has changed and if i can only own 1 amp it would be a herbert. i like it because it has lot of opyions for tone and the cleans are great, it can play rock or metal and is very versatile, well built and every channel is usable.

My herbies are here to stay! I've had and have many amps but the herbies are my pride and joy as for all the diezel goodies.

Hola mi amigo. Gracias por la sugerencia. Sin embargo, mi esposa no me lo permite tener tatuajes. :)
