Quote: "The systems have to been viewed "in general", there will always be singular cases that "prove" the opposite, but only children try to make it a general fact in a discussion.

Like the example with the Somalian guy that was left in the park.
That was two people who made a bad judgement, not a failing system."/

To insinuate in a discussion that the person you are communicating with is arguing like a child is just plain rude to me. So i consider you a rude person. I don`t feel the need to teach you manners but i would recommend you to learn some basic principles of correct conduct. The best thing is that you use that technique obviously on your own: Hell, there are Americans, Italians, Germans, French, South africans, Scotsmen who`ve shared a beer, bread and laugh with me. I`ve let people sleep on my couch, helped out with finding bus times, telephone numbers, directions etc.. :loco: :loco:

Besides that as you could have understood the example with the somalian guy is interesting in many ways. It is not just a simple case. Later on in the process it showed that one of the ambulance drivers had a history of being a member of a rightwing organization (don`t remember if it was Vigrid). Besides that in the end the ambulance personal did get victimized. To overlook a cerebral hemorraghe after that kind of trauma and call the patient an asshole and the like is far beyond the sun in my eyes. The fact that the ambulance personal got victimized and didn`t loose their job is fantastic. If the ambulance personal would have been black and the patient Norwegian i think that would have been another story!! In a town 30 km from here there was a russian doctor who had an affair with a guy who worked at the police. She had a very good reputation but lost her job due to the fact that she got reported by this exact police officer who got dumped by her. He was also her patient and reported her to the authorities. She lost her licence to work in Norway. He did not attend her office due to a mental health problem which he probably should but due to a common cold." I do not understand that.
Also interesting the fact that there was a discussion between black people and Norwegians who wouldn`t accept the fact that black poeple didn`t want to be called "neger". That was not understandable for the indigenous norwegian people. The chief of the police department in Tromsø then went out to the newspapers and made a statement that he will continue to call the black people "neger". The guys i worked together did not understand what`s maybe problematic with that term and couldn`t understand the argumentation of the black people. :loco: :loco: :loco:
With regard to discrimination i just want to bring you the Fiskestrand case to mind or the Manuela Ramin case or the black guy who got killed by a racist looney, or the black guy who got killed in a police action (they sat on him until he died) or the FRP politician who a week ago stated that a multicultural society is the same as dreaming of Disneyland and "Norway gets torn apart by immigration" (80% voted for that guy and his opinion). If you say that only applies to the city i can remind you of the german worker who got severly beaten up and thrown down a mountainside after that without a reason. The clever Nowegians filmed that and published it on YOu tube. The stated they just wanted to introduce him to the community. :loco: :loco: :loco:

Call the primeminister an idiot here- mmhhh would be interesting to see if you get a job after that.

Quote: I can buy just about anything I can afford, after I`ve taken care of my family...Quote end
You can`t buy anything here after you have taken care of your family unless you are amongst the top 1% with regard to income.

Quote:The Norwegian way of thinking have in generations been "us", instead of "me".
We`re becoming more and more "me" here as well, so my sons will have to learn to be more cynical than I was when I was young /Quote end.
I could tell you SO many examples that do prove the opposite but i do not have the time for that.

Quote:Have you seen the scene in Blues Brothers where the house falls down on them, and they get up and brush the mortar and brick pieces from their shoulders?
That`s what Norway did after the economic crisis that shook most of the world/ Quote
Do you really i mean REALLY mean that shit above ?????

QuoteThe road conditions outside of the south-east parts of Norway are terrible, but are you saying that because someone you knew hurt himself in an accident, the country has a low quality of living? Are good roads a sign of safe and healthy people?Quote end
No but the health care is definitively not better than in ANY of the neighbour countries, the care for the older people is a shame with old people lying in the basement of nursing homes under totally unacceptable conditions. The medical treatment of these people is often below what i would call acceptable. The police as stated earlier has to lie down a lot of cases because of lack of capacity, the waiting time for operations is often way too long, etc, etc.
This is not as bad as it may sound but Norway is a country where selv-righteousnesses is a virtue. Typisk norsk å være best- that`S a norwegian saying which means typically norwegian to be best.

Do not misunderstand me. Norway is in many ways an ok country with some good people but there is a lot of close mindedness and self righteousness. Norway is not a better or worth country than a lot of other countries but a rich country due to natural resources.

Quote:I don`t think me, or any of my fellow Norwegians in general can be considered "stupid", even if we might be considered socialists by someone on the outside Quote end

That is the true opposite of what a finish colleague told me once: He said the norwegian have plenty of natural resources but lack the one between the ears.

I didn`t call you anything, I didn`t even talk to, or about you when I mentioned childish?

You also need to understand the difference between calling someone`s way of arguing childish and calling them a child.

You attack me here, I haven`t attacked anyone in this thread. I`ve simply made my point of view known, and explained why.

I hope the ones here that know me don`t consider me rude, I feel that it`s not the general consensus here?

Mixing one-off incidents into a civil discussion about an entire system, with all the gears in motion, is like trying to prove the earth is flat by measuring one meter of it... And managing to see the big picture, is one of the prerequisites for being an adult, in my honest opinion.

I read the entire post that you managed to spew out, and you`re not discussing the matter at all. The only thing you do is attack me in it

Good on ya

I've seen the women from Norway. That's all I need to convince me I want to live there. ;)
