I just got my second Burst-59 LP Replica…
After the first one I had, I really got in love with those exceptional instruments that build for the exact specs as 59 Les Paul including all the right (reclaimed) wood, plastics, knobs, electronics etc…

I really wanted another LP, with a different PU for more “modern” tone, then the “original” PAF.
So, I started to think about a VOS Gibson, a 57 gold top or such and just switching the PU for my liking.
It’s just way less $$$ then buying a second Replica like mine… (and way faster to get – GAS )
Then, a good friend of mine started to talk about the possibility of unloading his (he got his from the exact builder I did mine, but two years earlier… as a matter of fact, his axe is the reason I ordered mine)

My initial response was “DON’T YOU DARE! THIS KIND OF GUITARS ARE NOT FOR SALE” but as he continued to explain his money obligations I was like, “I must have it!, let me buy it!”

I got her home and dropped in a couple of SD APH2 pups!

Behold –

Beautiful! I like your first one better, but both are stunning.

Nice but hard for me to get too excited about fake Gibsons.

If you ship them to me I might get over it ... :D

Who made those if we may ask? Bartlett?

Going out on a limb here but, they don't quite look like Bartlett's. They do look cool though!

. :D
that what i said when i get to play a "real" Gibi :D ;)

on the same note... we did some criss cross tests with some vintage LP's (50th era)... all i can tell you that i was packing my (fake) bursts with a lot of pride heading home with them :)
but that is another thread idea.

Congrats! It doesn't get any better than a well made 59 Replica that came from the bench of a good luthier and not off the production line in Nashville.
