I bet those cabs sound good......
I bet those Cabs are "Marshall" and everyone that plays guitar in the audience is trying to figure out how he gets that "tone" from his amps.......

Too funny! I did read an interview with George Lynch where he explains how he did something very similar on a certain Dokken tour....the amps were just facades that could be folded up after the gig and put into the trunk of a car! The actual amp that was mic'd was something rather small and underwhelming sitting on a chair backstage somewhere. May have been on one of his old websites IIRC.

I am sure they are probably engls as well, but it would be funny to know what the fakes were. anyone know who is playing in that pic? and I am not talking about the ugly bastard up top.

Nope, they are fake Marshalls.

It was a show called Immortal Hellfest, but I do not know who the band was, either. Below are both pics, and you can tell in the second one that the only real Marshall cabs are the four near the drum riser (2 on each side), to block the crowds view of behind the rest of the row of particle board fakes. And if you look closely, there are no fans or anyone but crew members on the sides of the stage. The crowd was only allowed to watch from the front.

I saw a wall of those fake Marshall cabs for sale on the bay awhile back...cut-out of 6 fake cabs if I remember correctly. If I had been in a band at the time I may have bought em just to freak out the local bar scene!
