goes to show judgments don't mean jack shit.
The key ingredient with any judgement is, try and collect it

I went though this with a contractor who botched up cement work in my driveway

cost me $3000- in legal fees to get a $20K judgement.

the Schmuck files for bankruptcy soon after.
im fucked in the ass along with the 5 other people he screwed over that were also attached to his deed

bankruptcy laws suck shit- the assholes always get off Scott free leaving the good guys holding the bag

You must've hired white people to do your concrete. There was your first mistake.

He wasn't insured?

My brother in law is a stonemason and a concrete guy. Did since he was a kid. He stepped away from it years ago. He works and drinks beer. No weights. If you are familiar with the term cockstrong that’s him. His type is disappearing. Some of the stuff I have seen him do is basically artistry. His view on Mexicans or illegal workers is you get what you pay for. He has seen them get minimum pay and do shit work….at times…and he has seen them get extra and some gratitude and work their fuckin guts out. White folk, especially around here won’t hardly work anymore. You would be amazed at the amount of work I could get out of some dudes for a pepper and an onion…or an extra piece of chicken when I was in corrections.

insurance does not cover intentional faulty workmanship.
had to sue the prick
I hired a guy to pour a slab in '16. He quoted me 8200 bucks, PLACED AND FINISHED. We got to the pour and he says "the $8200 is just for the labor but the concrete isn't that much money". I told him "you quoted me 8200 bucks placed and finished now I'ma go inside that shitbox single wide and tell the old lady what you said and she's going to come out spitting fire". He was like "yeah I can do it for $8200, don't get her involved".

I sat and drank beer and watched them do the whole thing so there was no cut corner bullshit. Sorry you had so many problems.

The quantum of the judgement was absolutely ridiculous so it's on the courts.

Intentionally faulty, wtf? :ROFLMAO: You mean his insurance wouldn't cover his poor work? Isn't that what it's for?
Insurance typically covers property damage and stuff like that. Some will cover “professional liabilities” like straight up shit work, but good luck getting any of that.
I don’t let any contractor with less than $1mil coverage to even step foot on our property.

A surprising amount barely have any

Oh well... there's a $140,000,000 Foodstampisha and Maltlicamoesha won't be spending on wigs, grills, fake nails, tattoos, abortions and the 10 Popeye's Restaurants in Atlanta they were going to buy.

How about a 2 piece + a biscuit and a pack of menthols?
